Dental charting software with the FDI tooth chart your dentists already use
You can mark what you find on each tooth and each surface using FDI numbers, and then prepare a treatment plan with prices from those findings. The patient's medical history, x-rays, prescriptions and earlier visits are kept on the same patient page.
- Included in both plans
- From ₹12,000 a year
An FDI tooth chart that matches the patient's age
Your dentists already use FDI numbers when they talk about teeth, so the chart in DentXOS uses the same numbers. Adult teeth are numbered 11 to 48 and milk teeth are numbered 51 to 85.
When you open the chart, DentXOS looks at the patient's age and shows the chart that suits them. A small child gets the milk teeth chart, a child between 6 and 11 years gets the mixed chart, and older patients get the adult chart. When a seven-year-old comes in with the first molars erupting, you see the milk teeth and the permanent teeth together without having to choose the chart yourself.
The conditions you mark are shown on the chart in different colours, so you can see the state of the whole mouth when you open it.
- FDI numbers for adult teeth (11 to 48) and milk teeth (51 to 85)
- The milk teeth, mixed or adult chart is chosen from the patient's age
- You mark conditions on each tooth separately
Marking the condition of each tooth and keeping its history
For each tooth you can mark what you see in the mouth, such as decayed, filled, crowned, RCT, implant, root stump, mobile or attrition. You can mark a condition on the whole tooth or on one surface, so an occlusal composite on 36 is recorded on the occlusal surface of 36.
DentXOS keeps a separate history for every tooth. If a patient returns after two years with pain in 46, you can open that tooth and see what was done to it and on which date. The patient's page also has a timeline that lists everything recorded for that patient in date order.
- You can mark a condition on a whole tooth or on one surface
- Each tooth has its own history of what was done and when
- The patient's page shows all their activity in date order
Treatment plans with prices that the patient can accept in parts
After the examination you can prepare a treatment plan that lists each procedure with its price, for example an RCT on 36, a zirconia crown on the same tooth, scaling and a composite on 24. If you give the patient a discount on the whole plan, you can add it to the plan and DentXOS shows the amount the patient has to pay.
A plan starts as a draft. You mark it as presented when you have explained it to the patient, and as accepted when the patient agrees. Many patients agree to the RCT on the same day and want time to think about the implant, so each procedure on the plan can be accepted or declined separately. The procedures they have not decided on stay on the plan for their next visit.
Once the plan is presented, you can print the estimate as a PDF or share it with the patient on WhatsApp. Your staff send it from their own WhatsApp with one tap, and the message is already written for them.
- Each procedure is listed with its price, and you can add a discount on the plan
- A plan moves from Draft to Presented to Accepted
- The patient can accept or decline each procedure separately
- You can print the estimate as a PDF or share it on WhatsApp
Medical history, x-rays and prescriptions on the patient's page
The patient's medical history is saved on their page, and important conditions are shown as alerts on the consultation screen. If a patient has diabetes, an allergy or is taking blood thinners, the dentist sees this before starting the treatment.
You can add x-ray images, old reports and consent forms to the patient's page. DentXOS accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP images and PDF files, and each file can be up to 10 MB. You can write prescriptions from your own list of medicines and print them as a PDF. If you already have your medicine list in a spreadsheet, you can bring it into DentXOS as a CSV file.
DentXOS can also prepare a medical certificate, a referral letter or a fitness certificate as a PDF, so you do not have to type these letters in Word.
- Medical history is saved, and alerts are shown during the consultation
- You can add JPEG, PNG, WebP and PDF files of up to 10 MB each
- Prescriptions are printed as a PDF from your own medicine list
- Medical, referral and fitness certificates are prepared as PDFs

Does the tooth chart use FDI or Universal numbering?
It uses FDI numbering, which is what most dentists in India are trained on. Adult teeth are numbered 11 to 48 and milk teeth are numbered 51 to 85.
How does it handle children and mixed dentition?
DentXOS looks at the patient's age and shows the milk teeth chart, the mixed chart for ages 6 to 11, or the adult chart. You see the right teeth without having to choose the chart yourself.
Can a patient accept only part of a treatment plan?
Yes. Each procedure on the plan is accepted or declined separately, so you can start the RCT today and keep the crown or the implant on the plan for a later visit.
Can I connect my RVG sensor or open DICOM files?
Not yet. You can add x-ray images and reports as JPEG, PNG, WebP or PDF files of up to 10 MB each, and they stay on the patient's page.
Does it work without internet?
No. DentXOS opens in your browser and can be installed like an app, but it needs an internet connection to open and save patient records.
